Dwight H. Egan, Chief Executive Officer Mr. Egan is a co-founder of Broadcast International, Inc (BI). He has been President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of BI. He was appointed Board Member of Data Broadcasting Corporation when BI was acquired by DBC in 1995. In June 1988 he was appointed Executive Vice President of Marketing for Data Broadcasting Corporation. Mr. Egan also served on the board of Gentner Communications, Inc. Since January 2000 Mr. Egan has been a private investor. He founded Market Street Logix in 2008 and has been active in incubating Co-Diagnostics Inc., a molecular diagnostics company.
Brent Satterfield, Ph.D., Chief Technology Officer Dr. Satterfield has been a founder in three medical diagnostics companies and one angel investment firm. In that role, he has developed the core technologies and the intellectual property strategies, in addition to raising the initial capital for each. He has developed business plans, international manufacturing facilities and a global distributor network. He is the first in his field to use engineering mathematics to design new DNA testing technology. As such, he has developed new diagnostic platforms for groups such as the Department of Homeland Security, the National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures Center, the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Disease, Sandia National Laboratories, the California Department of Public Health and numerous others. Under fellowship from the Department of Homeland Security, he received his Ph.D. in Bioengineering with an emphasis in entrepreneurship and intellectual property law from Arizona State University in a dual enrollment program at UC Berkeley. He also graduated summa cum laude with honors from Arizona State with a B.S. degree in Bioengineering.
Mayuranki Modi Almaula, Ph.D., Partnerships and Alliances Dr. Almaula previously worked in the Recombinant Protein Division of DNAX Research Institute (now Merck) and then subsequently was the technical liaison for the Business Development efforts of several companies like In Silico Sciences, Simbiosys-Biowares (now acquired by the Lonza Group) and Gen-Probe, Inc. She has extensive experience in initiating forays and establishing alliances with a focus on South Asia. She has served the pre clinical development projects for most of the past two decades and in the most recent past there has been a specific inclination towards Molecular Diagnostics that concentrate on Infectious Diseases and Oncology. She completed her Masters and PhD from the Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda and Stanford University, CA.
