Social Responsibility
Cooperative Diagnostics aims to serve communities in developing countries by working with local blood centers and religious organizations to sponsor blood drives. Blood from repeat, volunteer donors who live clean life styles combined with high quality screening of the blood for infectious diseases provides maximum safety to blood recipients.
We fully understand the need of safer blood to benefit those in need. You, as a volunteer, can make a huge difference for those patients who quietly await for your donation. According to the Red Cross, in the US 3 out of every 100 people donate blood. These donations come from repeat, volunteer donors, giving both sufficient quantities of blood and very clean blood. In contrast, in the developing world that ratio changes to 1 in every 200 or more. Not only does this leave those in need without sufficient blood, but those who donate are often diseased, passing on the diseases to those who are already weak from loss of blood.
Our goal is to help stop the spread of disease by organizing blood drives in conjunction with local organizations like the Red Cross and other non government organizations. Through these means, we hope to ensure the supply of cleaner and safer blood from communities of strong and decent people devoted to donating blood, each helping to give the gift of life to those in danger of losing it.
Cooperative Diagnostics organizes blood drives at places most convenient for donors — the places where they live, work, study, or worship.
